Our Brand

Toasted is an experience based, fast casual brand focused on elevating a classic American sandwich – the grilled cheese. Born in Winter Park, Florida, the concept offers crafted grilled cheese & burgers made with premium, locally sourced ingredients that are always prepared in house.

Our Story

Fresh into retirement, Jeffrey Yarmuth, a 40-year veteran of the restaurant business, quickly found it difficult to rest on his laurels. He soon set his sights on developing a new fast casual brand focused on elevating the iconic grilled cheese sandwich. The inspiration came from many of Yarmuth’s favorite New York City joints – the type of niche restaurants with simple menus that focus on reimagining familiar foods. Yarmuth enlisted the help of his daughter, Megan, to help create and execute the brand. Pairing his operational experience with her background in food & beverage marketing, Toasted was born in February 2013 in Winter Park, Fl.

Our Design

Toasted’s design mantra was “Clever, not cheesy.” The bright and whimsical color palate is accented with subtle, yet cheesy, design pieces. There is no way anyone can miss the Periodic Table of Cheese, which proudly offers a little “cheese-ducation”. The 3-D cheese wall is another focal point of the décor. Made from recyclable sugar cane, you won’t be able to resist the urge to touch it!

Our Food

At the core the brand is the commitment to provide guests with the freshest, highest quality, homemade ingredients whenever possible. Toasted’s artisan breads are always preservative free, baked locally and delivered daily. Proteins are fresh, never frozen, and always cooked in house.

While the menu only offers two entrée categories – grilled cheese and burgers – guests will find a wide arrangement of flavors to satisfy any craving. Grilled cheese purists find solise in The Big Cheese with a cup of our housemade roasted tomato soup. For those with more adventurous palates the Fig & Goat and As Gouda As It Gets are must try items.

Not feeling super cheesy? No biggie – Toasted’s burgers offer flavors just as bold and are always cooked to order. Farm fresh salads always feature housemade dressings and are available in entrée and side portions.
